Have any parents sign step-child up programs with parent in prison/jail? Mines are having a hard time about no visit to Daddy-Step (we're not together after 8yrs), they known him all their life as Daddy/Father.

I had a similar situataion with 3 step children who i helped raise and remain close to today. Here is all you have to do. The people that oversee things actually want their inmates to leave the facility and never come back. They call that recidivism, where the offender doesnt learn a lesson, they continue with criminal behavior, therefore repeating the incarceration thing. These facilites are judged is by their recidivism rate. Funding flows to the prisons with the lowest rates. Sooooo, let the warden's secretary know that "your inmate has some loving kids that want to stay connected to their 'daddy', please make an exception to the rule so that we can do our part in making sure that he will never come back".

I explained it this way so that you will understand the benefits to the prison first, and pointing out that if his step-children can remain connected, he's likely to never re-offend.
