I HAVE A FRIEND IN MCCF THAT'S SENTENCED TO LIFE FOR SECOND DEGREE MURDER, HE SAID UNDER A BILL CALLED 585. IT STATES THAT 10 YEARS FLATENS A LIFE SENTENCE.

Since we are not certain of the state in question, this seems like a parole provision that he he referring to. The judge would have had to put parole as an option on the Judgement and Committment Order for him to be eligible. With a second degree murder charge, we are dubious. If you have any other information on the case, we would be happy to look into it further.
