If a person catches another case and is currently on parole, will it help the spouse to speak to his parole officer?

If a person catches another case and is currently on parole. Will it help for his spouse to speak to his parole officer or the parole board and suggesting that the inmate take some substance abuse classes, and or counseling?

It can't hurt to speak the parole officer but you know that they have little sympathy or tolerance for the violator. The POs role is to keep the integrity of the judicial process when rewarding an inmate with parole. If the inmate cannot keep their end of the deal - or worse catch another charge, they will get violated and must return to prison to do the remaining time left on their original sentence. They might even catch more time for the new case.
