Yes, mail is considered sacred in a prison - even in the hole. Whether the inmate has money on their books or not, there is no reason why an inmate cannot keep in touch if they want. InmateAid's service is not email; it is with the US Postal Service. Inmates do not have Internet access. Your inmate will be able to write you through us or if they have your address - even inmates with no money on their books can get stamps through the indigent inmate program.
