To Whom this May Concern, My boyfriend just got to Jackson GA to the Diagnostic Prison. How hard is the life really like for prisoners there? Are there a lot of fights going on? Do you guys get to watch tv or are you guys on a strict routine like a boot camp? What is the day to day life like? Thanks

Mostly, prison is not like what you see on television. It is boring and the best way for an inmate to do their time is to stay busy with some sort of routine. Inmates that have goals and want to come out better than they went in will survive the experience. There are fights but the consequences of having them is that it will make the time ahead more difficult on the inmates involved. There is TV, there is exercise, there is a library, recreation areas and plenty of things to do. One of the reasons inmateAID offers a lot of reading outlets like magazine subscriptions is that it is a great escape for inmates who have lots of time on their hands.
