Would I be allowed to call the judge or his probation officer, and ask them if he can get a bond or if he was to pay his fine if he could be released?

I called his lawyer for him, he said he doesn't represent him anymore. So therefore he represents himself. Would I be allowed to call the judge or his probation officer, and ask them if he can get a bond or if he was to pay his fine if he could be released?
