The Richmond County Jail at 401 Walton Way was officially closed on Jan. 7, 2014, and all jail operations are now conducted at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center (CBWDC).
The brand new Inmate Processing Center opened that day and inmates are now processed, housed, and released from the CBWDC at 1941 Phinizy Road. Bonds are now signed at the Visitor Center located directly in front of the Webster Detention Center. Bonds may be signed 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Inmate property can be claimed in Jail Administration; Monday through Friday 9 a.m.. until 4:30 p.m. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at 706-821-1110.
