When someone you care about gets locked up, it's tough to figure out all the ins and outs of jail life. From sending mail to visiting, there are a lot of things to sort out. And getting info about the arrest? Not always easy. That's where this webpage comes in handy. It's here to help you get a handle on how things work here so that you can stay connected and support your loved one behind bars.
The Blaine Co Jail is a detention center located at 1650 Aviation Dr Hailey, ID which is operated locally by the Blaine County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Blaine County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Hailey Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.
New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals.
The Blaine County Detention Center contains sixty-six beds in the four jail pods providing minimum, medium, and maximum security classifications, including four beds in special needs cells with negative airflow to prevent the spread of infectious disease. An additional twenty inmates can be housed in male and female work release dorms and up to four juveniles can be held in segregated holding cells, for a total of ninety beds. Each pod is equipped with video visitation consoles which allow inmates easy access to their visiting friends and family.
Retro-plate flooring is used in the Detention Center to minimize maintenance for 50 years. Video Arraignment allows real-time connectivity to the court. The inmate medical room allows nurses to dispense medications, and hold sick calls in-house, instead of putting deputies out of service transporting inmates to and from area medical facilities. A Kiosk located in the jail lobby allows friends and family to deposit money in an inmate’s account without utilizing staff time.
Books, puzzles, games, etc. may be donated to the Detention Center Library but not to a specific inmate. All book donations must be soft-covered, and in new condition without water damage, torn pages, or ripped covers. Games must be new in the box and wrapped in plastic. After careful inspection donations will be added to the Inmate Library and available for checkout. Donations that do not pass inspection will be disposed of.
If you post a cash bond, you may be eligible to receive some or your entire cash bond back after the case is finished and the necessary paperwork has been processed. Idaho law, I.C. 19-2923, allows the court to use the cash bond to pay any fines or costs that might have been imposed against the defendant. A Sheriff’s bond fee may be required. If you use a bond agent to post a surety bond, you will not get the surety bond agent’s fee or the Sheriff’s fee back.
To utilize the Inmate Search page on InmateAid, begin by selecting the relevant prison facility in Idaho. This allows you to view the current list of inmates housed at Blaine County ID Jail.
The second section features the InmateAid Inmate Search tool, providing a user-generated database of inmates. You can access this resource to utilize any of InmateAid's services. If you require assistance in creating an inmate profile to maintain communication, please contact us at aid@inmateaid.com, and we'll gladly help you locate your loved one.
As a last resort, you might have to pay for that information if we do not have it. The Arrest Record Search will cost you a small amount, but their data is the freshest available and for that reason, they charge to access it.
