The Caddo Parish Jail is a detention center located at 1101 Forum Dr Shreveport, LA which is operated locally by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Caddo Parish Parish accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Shreveport Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals.

The Caddo Correctional Center is a full-service jail rated at a capacity of 1500 beds. Designed to successfully manage a large number of inmates with a minimum of personnel, the Caddo Correctional Center is the largest jail in the Ark-La-Tex and the only "direct supervision" facility in the State of Louisiana. Using the principles of direct supervision, the Detention Bureau provides for the basic human needs of the inmate population. In addition, programs and services are offered to provide inmates with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to become productive members of the community.

Visitation Schedule

WARNING: Any displaying of nudity, illegal activity, or recording of video visitation calls and posting/sharing the recordings to any social media website or internet site, will result in the Visitor being banned from utilizing video visitation indefinitely.

Remote Visitation Information - To utilize the new remote video visitation you will need to call City Tel Coin at (318) 746-1114 and establish an account with the provider. Once you have established an account, you will then appear as a contact for each inmate that you create an account for. You will not be able to use the remote video visitation until you establish an account with City Tel Coin.

Remote Visitation Schedule - Remote off-site visitation will take place daily during the normal visitation hours, and will be unlimited daily.

On-Site Visitation Schedule:

The inmates will be limited to two (2) free visits per week from the video visitation stations located in the lobby at CCC. The visitation schedule is the following:

  • Inmates with last names: A thru H will visit on Sunday and Thursday.
  • Inmates with last names: I thru R will visit on Monday and Friday.
  • Inmates with last names: S thru Z will visit on Tuesday and Saturday.
  • Inmates on Cell Confinement will visit on Wednesdays only, regardless of their last names.
  • Inmates housed in the Sick Bay unit in Medical will visit on Wednesdays only. Sick Bay visits will have to be scheduled in advance. Please call CCC to schedule the visit at (318) 677-5254.

Visitation hours:

  • 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM

There will be no on-site visitation on the following holidays for 2019:

Visitation Rules - All visitors of the Caddo Correctional Center are required to abide by the following rules:

  • No knives, sharp objects, lighters or tobacco products allowed.
  • No electronic devices are allowed in the Main Lobby or visitation areas. (examples: cell phones, tablets, etc.
  • No food, gum or drink items allowed in the housing unit visitation areas.

Visitors may not wear clothing that reveal any genitals, buttocks or breats. Visitors must be dressed modest and conservative.

  • No halter tops, and no spaghetti strap tops.
  • All females must wear a bra.
  • No see-through clothing, including clothing with holes and tears that reveal any genitals, buttocks or breasts.
  • All pants/shorts must be worn on the waistline - no sagging pants/shorts.
  • No pajamas (pants or tops) that reveal genitals, buttocks or breasts.
  • No low cut blouses.
  • All shorts and skirts must be worn at least two inches (2") above the knees - no higher.
  • All splits on skirts must start at least two inches (2") above the knees.
  • All visitors must wear shoes.
  • No house shoes or slippers.
  • No gang-affiliated clothing, hats or shoes.

A locker key and car keys will only be allowed in the housing unit visitation areas. This includes, but is not limited to: purses, fanny packs, pens, pencils, paper, mail.

An adult must accompany visitors sixteen (16) years old or younger.

Children must NOT be left unattended in the lobby, parking lot, or a vehicle while visiting. All children must be under the supervision of an individual seventeen (17) years of age or older with a valid state issued ID or Driver's License.

Visitors seventeen (17) years old and older must furnish a valid state-issued ID or Driver's License, show proof of residency (temporary or permanent) in the United States along with the photo idenitification:

  • United States Driver's License.
  • United States ID.
  • Military Identification with independent information included.
  • The permanent resident card is also known as a green card.
  • United States passport.
  • Foreign passport provided with a Visa or I-94 proof of United States residency.

Altered ID's will not be accepted.

All visitors are subject to being searched.

No individual on active probation or parole will be allowed to visit.

Visitors under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will be denied visitation and are subject to being arrested.

Visitors will return to the lobby area once they conclude their visit and retrieve their ID's.

Children three (3) years old and older count as a visitor.

Children are not allowed to run and play in the lobby or housing unit visitation areas.

The rental fee for a locker is $.25. The receptionists will not make change.

Wheelchairs are available if assistance is needed.

Inmates are allowed only one (1) visit per day, including a special visit.

Thirty (30) minute visits will be granted to visitors traveling one hundred miles (100) or more. Proof of residency will be required.

Failure to follow visitation rules may result in visitors being banned from the facility or subject to criminal prosecution.

A Watch Commander, Watch Sergeant and/or Visitation Deputy have the authority to prohibit or ban any visitor.

All items left in visitor accessible areas that are not claimed within 10 days of discovery will be discarded.
