The Clark Co Jail is a detention center located at 517 Court St Neillsville, WI which is operated locally by the Clark County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Clark County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Neillsville Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals.

The Clark County Jail, established in April of 2000, is a modern facility comprising 126 beds. Featuring a pod-based design and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, it accommodates inmates of all genders and classifies them according to their security risk level, ranging from minimum to maximum.

At the Clark County Jail, Huber privileges, named after a Wisconsin legislator who sponsored the original legislation, serve as a vital component of the facility's approach to inmate rehabilitation and reintegration. Through the Huber program, eligible incarcerated individuals are granted temporary leave from the facility for purposes such as employment, education, or participation in treatment programs. Leveraging its state-of-the-art infrastructure and dedicated staff, the Clark County Jail carefully evaluates inmates' behavior and risk levels to determine their suitability for Huber privileges. Inmates granted Huber privileges are closely monitored to ensure compliance with the program's conditions and requirements. By facilitating access to employment, education, and support services outside the jail environment, the Clark County Jail's Huber program aims to foster positive behavior change and assist inmates in transitioning back into the community successfully. Here are the most recent Electronic Monitoring/HUBER RULES and AGREEMENTS for offenders who are qualified for the program.

The jail's operational staff consists of 12 full-time correction deputies and four full-time correction sergeants, supplemented by several reserve deputies. These personnel undergo rigorous training, including 200 hours of specialized instruction to attain jail certification. Furthermore, they are mandated to complete 24 hours of annual training to uphold their certification status, ensuring they remain proficient in their roles and abreast of evolving practices and procedures in corrections.
