The Forest Co Jail is a detention center located at 100 S Park Ave Crandon, WI which is operated locally by the Forest County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Forest County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Crandon Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals.

The Forest County Sheriff Jail/Corrections Division operates an 80-bed facility completed in 1997, housing both its inmates and those from Oconto County. Sentenced inmates are subject to several fees, including a booking fee of $20.00, a daily room and board charge of $20.00, and a Huber fee of $15.00 per day in addition to the room and board fee. The jail no longer accepts clothing items for inmates, but it will accept contacts and solutions, glasses, and medication at the front window. Messages are delivered only for family emergencies.
