The Augusta TC, established in 2002, leased to and operated by the Georgia Department of Corrections owned by private prison company CoreCivic with a capacity to accommodate 230 adult male felons. Academic offerings include a General Education Diploma (GED), Adult Basic Education, and Literacy programs, providing residents with opportunities to enhance their educational qualifications. Counseling services encompass a variety of areas, including the Odyssey Program, Fatherhood, Housing Services, Public Health, Work Ethics, Job Readiness, and support groups such as 12-Step Groups and Celebrate Recovery, addressing residents' social and emotional needs.

Recreational activities play a crucial role in promoting physical and mental well-being among residents, with opportunities for general recreation and community volunteer work fostering a sense of purpose and engagement. Similarly, religious activities, including various worship services, Bible study sessions, and gospel choir participation, offer spiritual support and community for residents during their transition process.

Visitation Information

The first step in the visitation process is to become an approved visitor. To do so, you must first fill out the Visitation Request Form and submit a completed form to the facility where your loved one is incarcerated. Please include a copy of supporting documentation (photo id, marriage license, and birth certificate) along with the application. Consent forms must be notarized before they can be processed. All visitors must apply regardless of age. They must also be mailed to the facility where the offender is currently housed (email forms will not be accepted).

Dress Code - For adults: No tank tops, no mesh or see-through clothing, t-shirts cannot be sleeveless. No chest, shoulders, or stomach exposed. A skirt may not be more than 2 inches above the knee. No stretch pants or shorts may be worn. Only children are permitted to wear shorts. No Contraband is Permitted
