The Grossman Center is a Residential Reentry Center providing transitional services for males and females who are serving up to the last six months of their sentences. The Grossman Center is located in southern Leavenworth, Kansas near the University of St. Mary.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Residents may also be direct commitments who are designated to serve their entire term of confinement at the Center, or are referred for placement due to conditional requirements of their supervision or bond. Residents accepted as part of U.S. Probation and Pre-Trial status may be designated to remain at the Center during the completion of the court process. Residents are subject to a highly structured environment. As treatment and rehabilitation goals are achieved, they earn the privilege of decreased structure. Security measures include 24-hour custodial supervision, frequent census checks and closed circuit surveillance cameras that monitor the facility and its boundaries. Within the community, offenders are monitored by staff through random calls to homes and job sites, as well as through urinalysis and alcohol tests to detect illegal use.

Substance Abuse Counseling Mental Health Counseling HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis Prevention Education and Testing Life Skills (including Anger/Stress Management, Budgeting, Banking, Personal Hygiene, Securing Housing, Victim Awareness, and Conflict Resolution) Specialized Programs (including Cultural Diversity Education, Parenting/Family Skills Program, Women's Group, Suicide Precaution Class, Weekly Meditation Group, and Prison Fellowship/Spirituality Services) GED Preparation Employment Assistance (including Resume writing, Job Search Strategies, Job Application Assistance, and Interview Techniques) Vocational Training.
