The Halfway House - Community Restoration Center-Women located at 1200 Market Ave N Canton, OH, focuses on successful offender reintegration into society, crucial for effective crime control. With high recidivism rates, evidence-based practices tailor programs for medium to high-risk individuals, reducing repeat offenses. Reentry and Treatment Centers offer structured environments and various programs aiding rehabilitation and community reconnection efforts. Collaborating with the Stark Sheriff's Department, the Ohio Department of Corrections, and sometimes the US Marshal Service/Federal Bureau of Prisons, comprehensive reentry services prioritize education, substance abuse treatment, and workforce development. Facilities assist officers in monitoring compliance and serve as alternatives to pretrial detention, considering cost-effectiveness and reducing overcrowding. Emphasizing individual needs, family support, and community integration, the center aims for holistic support, empowering successful reintegration.
The women's center provides rehabilitative residential services to AWHO under Adult Parole Authority/Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections supervision and or Bureau of Community Sanctions. Each client is assessed by the Ohio Risk Assessment System (ORAS) and is provided services based on need and the Risk Score. During this time, residents may participate in a variety of services that focus on preparing the client for a healthy and successful re-entry into the community.
Community Restoration Centers of Stark County, Inc. provides independent living to clients who complete the Halfway House program. The Community Residential Center receives referrals from parole and probation departments, court referrals, and the ODRC Bureau of Community Sanctions. There is a 19-page Resident Handbook that offers all of the expectations of the Transitional Control and Non-Transistional Clients for the male and female residents.
The Rejuvenation House is a drug and alcohol-free environment. All residents must abide by house rules and submit to alcohol and drug testing.
