Vienna Correctional, situated in Johnson County, adjacent to the Shawnee National Forest, operates as a minimum-security correctional facility, accommodating up to 1,072 adult male inmates within a 40-acre fenced area. Additionally, the facility oversees the Dixon Springs Structured Impact Program (DSSIP) Educational and vocational programs form a cornerstone of rehabilitation efforts, equipping offenders with essential skills for their future. Inmates have the opportunity to pursue adult basic education and GED programs, alongside vocational studies covering auto body and mechanical repair, cosmetology, various construction disciplines, custodial work, horticulture, barbering, culinary arts, and more.
Inmate Programs encompass a diverse range of offerings aimed at personal and professional development. Academic programs include ABE (Adult Basic Education), GED, and Pre-GED courses, while vocational training spans auto body, auto mechanics, construction occupation, cosmetology, custodial maintenance, and culinary arts, among others.
