Located in Henderson, TX, Bradshaw Jail operates as a private contractor with various government agency agreements providing state-minimum custody requirements. Programs are offered to all custody levels, including work release residents focused on reentry success. With a strong emphasis on rehabilitation, Bradshaw Jail provides comprehensive educational and vocational opportunities. Onsite amenities include dietary, health, fitness, educational, religious, and recreational services. Regular inspections ensure compliance with government standards, ensuring the facility's continued operation.
Bradshaw State Jail, exclusively for male inmates, has a capacity of 1,024 individuals and accommodates custody levels G1 and G2. Situated on approximately 100 acres, the facility does not engage in agricultural or manufacturing operations but prioritizes unit maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
Medical services at Bradshaw State Jail include ambulatory medical, dental, and mental health care, available on-site. The facility offers Telemedicine and Digital Medical Services (DMS) for enhanced healthcare accessibility. Additionally, all medical services are conveniently located on a single level, including housing accommodations for CPAP users. The medical services are managed by UTMB.
Educational programs provided at Bradshaw State Jail cover Adult Basic Education, GED preparation, and Life Skills/Pre-Release courses. Vocational programs offered include Carpentry, Electrical Trades, and Masonry, aiming to equip inmates with valuable skills for future employment opportunities.
