The Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center is within the jurisdiction of the Colorado Department of Juvenile Justice located at 13500 East Fremont Place, Englewood, CO.
The facility provides supervision of youth in a safe, secure and humane environment. Services for youth include education, mental health, substance abuse, and health care. Medical and mental health are contracted services. Educational services are funded by the Colorado Department of Education through local school districts.
A typical day in secure detention would involve hygiene, meals, school, structured physical and educational activities, and court appearance as scheduled. The average length of stay in secure state detention is approximately 60 days.

Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center (MWFYSC) - Visitation Procedure
The Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center (MWFYSC) mission is to protect, restore and improve public safety. This is accomplished through a continuum of services and programs that: effectively supervise juvenile offenders, promote offender accountability to victims and communities and build skills and competencies of youth to become responsible citizens.
Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center is located in Englewood, Colorado and is a 61 bed secure facility serving detained youth. MWFYSC serves youth from the 18th Judicial District encompassing Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties.
MWFYSC provides secure detention holding for youth from ages 10 through age 17. MWFYSC uses an adaptive pro-social behavioral management philosophy which applies evidence based principles from social learning and cognitive behavioral theory (CBT). Services provided include individualized education, restorative community justice and life skills education.
Cherry Creek School District 5 provides licensed teaching staff for detained youth in the facility. While at MWFYSC detained youth can earn credits necessary to receive a high-school diploma or obtain a General Equivalency Diploma (GED).

Youth housed in the facility are male and female and can range in age from 10-17 years old.
Juvenile facilities overseen by the State of Colorado do not publish the names of the offenders housed in their facility. As such, there is no public forum for this information.
