McCabe Center is for Reentry & Treatment Facility offenders have not been sentenced yet and are detained here until their case is heard.

Reentry and Treatment Centers offer structured environments and various programs aiding rehabilitation and community reconnection efforts. Collaborating with the Travis Sheriff's Department, the Texas Department of Corrections, and sometimes the US Marshal Service/Federal Bureau of Prisons, comprehensive reentry services prioritize education, substance abuse treatment, and workforce development. Facilities assist officers in monitoring compliance and serve as alternatives to pretrial detention, considering cost-effectiveness and reducing overcrowding. The McCabe Center is a residential reentry center providing housing, substance abuse treatment, monitoring and transitional services for adult males and females. The Center's unique veteran's program was established to provide homeless veterans a safe and sober environment.
McCabe Center is located in Austin, Texas. All residents are subject to random urinalysis tests. Residents are subject to a structured environment. As treatment and rehabilitation goals are achieved, residents earn the privilege of decreased structure.
Services include substance abuse counseling, employment assistance, GED preparation, life skills including anger management, parenting, intervention, personal hygiene, budgeting, banking, and securing housing, and veteran’s program.
