The Crosswaeh Community Based Correctional Facility (Female) located at 3091 S State Rte 100 Tiffin, OH, focuses on successful offender reintegration into society, crucial for effective crime control. With high recidivism rates, evidence-based practices tailor programs for medium to high-risk individuals, reducing repeat offenses. Reentry and Treatment Centers offer structured environments and various programs aiding rehabilitation and community reconnection efforts. Collaborating with the Seneca Sheriff's Department, the Ohio Department of Corrections, and sometimes the US Marshal Service/Federal Bureau of Prisons, comprehensive reentry services prioritize education, substance abuse treatment, and workforce development. Facilities assist officers in monitoring compliance and serve as alternatives to pretrial detention, considering cost-effectiveness and reducing overcrowding. Emphasizing individual needs, family support, and community integration, the center aims for holistic support, empowering successful reintegration.
Crosswaeh Community Based Correctional Facility (Male) is a state facility within the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC). This facility serves the counties of Crawford, Richland, Ottawa, Seneca, Sandusky, Wyandot, Ashland, Erie and Huron in the release of offenders on Community Based Orders (e.g. bail supervision, probation, and parole) and to refer female offenders to appropriate community-based or residential services to assist with addressing a variety of issues (e.g. drug and alcohol abuse, grief and loss issues, self-esteem and relationship issues).
Residential Chemical Dependency Treatment -We offer a three-phase program for treatment of Substance Use Disorders, which includes the following:
Phase 1: Treatment Readiness: A four-hour program (two days for two hours) designed to prepare the clients for the program by acknowledging resistance and introducing them to the concepts of Cognitive Behavioral Intervention.
Phase 2: Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program: A 6-week long program, utilizing the University of Cincinnati curriculum “Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Substance Abuse”. The program covers 36 lessons presented in six modules, “Motivational Engagement, Emotion Regulation, Social Skills, Problem Solving, and Relapse Prevention. The group is facilitated three days per week for three hours each day. In addition, each participant is required to have a conjoint session with a supportive family member or friend, as well as individual counseling sessions with their primary clinician.
Phase 3: Aftercare Program: Weekly group sessions based on the “Responding to a Roadblock” Lesson from the University of Cincinnati curriculum, and are designed to help the clients practice the skills they learned dealing with current issues. The number of sessions required is based on the Substance Use sub-score of the ORAS tool used by ODRC. In addition to ongoing individual counseling, an optional conjoint session is offered for clients to share their Relapse Prevention plan with their support people.
