The Perry County Correctional Facility, located about four miles east of Uniontown in Perry County, Alabama, is a privately owned and operated prison facility managed by LCS Corrections Services. Despite bearing the county's name, it has never housed inmates from Perry County itself. The facility opened in April 2006.

One of its early contracts was with the Vermont Department of Corrections, which housed 80 offenders there until April 2009. This contract ended amid allegations of understaffing and reports of injuries to inmates, marking Vermont's first experience with a private prison contract. In May 2009, the facility faced further scrutiny when inmates Ashton Mink and Joshua Southwick escaped, leading to a 14-hour standoff in Gladstone, North Dakota, before being recaptured. Following this incident, Alabama withdrew its 250 prisoners from the facility, citing financial concerns and noting a delay in the facility’s notification of the escape, which took over eleven hours.

Currently, the Perry County Correctional Facility continues to house federal inmates, including those under the jurisdiction of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the United States Marshals Service. However, the facility only housed about 30 federal prisoners, even though Alabama's state prison system was operating at nearly double its intended capacity at 192%.
