The Santa Clara PD, located at 601 El Camino Real Santa Clara, CA, serves as the primary law enforcement agency for the community, ensuring public safety through crime prevention, investigation, and emergency response. While the department processes individuals who have been arrested, it does not maintain holding cells for extended detention. After the booking process, which includes fingerprinting, photographing, and processing necessary documentation, arrestees are promptly transferred to a nearby county or regional jail for housing. The department remains committed to upholding the law with professionalism and efficiency while working in coordination with correctional facilities to manage detainee intake and custody transfers For further inmate information, please get in touch with the booking department at 408-615-4700 or click here for the latest arrest records.
Staffed by civilian Jail Service Officers (JSOs), these facilities are managed with a focus on security and efficiency. JSOs are responsible for overseeing the Temporary Holding Facility, where they perform critical duties such as fingerprinting and photographing arrestees during the booking process. Additionally, they conduct thorough searches and inventory of personal property, maintain accurate detention records, monitor building security, and ensure compliance with facility inspections and audits. JSOs also handle the release of prisoners, lead facility tours, and support customer service needs at the front desk. The Temporary Holding Facilities are subject to regular inspections by various controlling agencies to ensure that they meet all necessary standards.
