The Sublette Co Jail is a detention center located at 35 1/2 S Tyler Pinedale, WY which is operated locally by the Sublette County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Sublette County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Pinedale Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals.

The Sublette County Detention Center, completed in April 2004, features four jail pods and has the capacity to hold a maximum of 52 inmates. To optimize the use of its facilities, the county routinely fills vacant cells by contracting with surrounding counties and the U.S. Marshal's Office to house their prisoners. For the past 15 years, Sublette County has regularly rented cell space to other counties, making efficient use of its detention resources.

The facility's design and operations reflect its commitment to maintaining a secure and orderly environment for both inmates and staff. By collaborating with other jurisdictions, the Sublette County Detention Center not only supports the regional correctional system but also generates additional revenue for the county. The center's infrastructure and management practices are geared towards providing a safe, secure, and humane environment for all inmates housed within its walls.
