The United States Penitentiary, Canaan (USP Canaan), situated in northeastern Pennsylvania, is a high-security federal prison with a satellite prison camp for minimum-security male inmates. Managed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the facility, which opened in March 2005 is designed to house 1275 male inmates in six housing units.
