The Weber Co Jail is a detention center located at 721 W 12th St Odgen, UT which is operated locally by the Weber County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Weber County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Odgen Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals.

The Weber County Jail serves the community by providing a safe and secure environment for offenders, offering various correctional programs, and facilitating successful re-entry into society. With a total capacity of 888 beds, including 232 cells and 424 dorm beds, the facility handles approximately 15,000 bookings annually, supported by a staff of 220 employees serving approximately 876,000 meals per year.

Originally built in 1983 and expanded in 1990, the Kiesel Avenue facility replaced the old jail located atop the City/County building. In 2000, it was repurposed as a work release and community service facility, accommodating inmates such as those involved in community service, work release, and weekenders.

The jail offers a range of programs aimed at rehabilitation and skill development, including education programs like GED classes and computer training, as well as ESL courses and life skills workshops. Support groups for domestic violence, substance abuse, and anger management are available, along with religious services catering to various faiths.

Upon intake, inmates go through a Reception & Orientation (R&O) process, where they are assessed and classified to determine appropriate housing and programming needs. The facility operates on a six-tier classification system, with Level 1 being the most restrictive.

Inmate property exchange, medical services, and access to the inmate library are provided to ensure basic needs are met. Friends and family can deposit money into an inmate's trust account for commissary purchases or use the online system. Commissary items, including personal hygiene products and snacks, are available for purchase once per week.

Inmates can receive mail through the U.S. Postal Service, with restrictions on content and format. Only white, prestamped postcards are accepted, and photographs without writing or other substances are permitted. Inmates are released upon posting bail or completing their sentence, with procedures varying depending on the circumstances.

Overall, the Weber County Jail prioritizes community protection and rehabilitation, offering a range of programs and services to support offenders' successful reintegration into society while maintaining safety and security within the facility.
