Inmates are allowed video visitation with persons of their choice. There is no in-person visitation. Video visitation is initiated by the inmate calling a visitor who has signed up through www.gettingout.com. This webpage will require the user logging in to create an account, upload an ID for verification, and once approved will be eligible to receive inmate video visitation calls. This is the same site needed to have access for the inmate tablet messaging, so once an account is created at www.gettingout.com both features (messaging/video visitation) will be enabled.
Inmates have the option to initiate visits with friends and family who signed up to allow the visit remotely (from home). All remote visits will be charged at $0.25 per minute.
Friends and family can also use the Video Visitation Center located at 500 E. Adams Street, at no cost. It does not matter which facility the inmate is housed in to use this option. Each inmate can receive one visitor per week. Video Visitation Center visits are a maximum of two hours.
Visits can be scheduled up to 14 days in advance. ALL VISITS MUST BE SCHEDULED 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. Visitors who schedule same day visits will be turned away.
To schedule, please go to: https://www.gettingout.com/schedule-a-visit/.
Inmate workers will not be allowed visitation during their assigned work hours. Juveniles will not be allowed visitation during school hours.
