Visitation Guidelines for Saline County Correctional Facility

Visitation Schedule:
Visitation for inmates is conducted Monday through Friday during the following times:

• 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM

Each visit lasts 30 minutes, and inmates are allowed up to two onsite visits per week, on separate days. Additionally, inmates may receive one 10-minute remote visit per week at no cost to the visitor, during the scheduled visitation times.

All visits, whether onsite or remote, are conducted via video visitation. Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance through the Securus website at securustech.net, where visitors can also find information on fees. Visitors are required to create an account, upload a valid government photo ID, and await approval via email before scheduling a visit.

Remote Visitation:

• Remote visitors must log in within three minutes of the scheduled start time. Late arrivals will result in forfeited visits with no refunds.
• Both the visitor and inmate must maintain facial recognition throughout the session. Excessive movement will cause the system to terminate the visit, which cannot be restarted.

Onsite Visitation:

• Visitors should enter through the SCC Reception entrance and be prepared to check in 30 minutes prior to the scheduled visit.
• A maximum of two visitors is allowed per inmate at a time, excluding accommodations for minor visitors. A total of five visitors per session is permitted.

Rules and Regulations:

1. Personal Conduct:

   • Lewd behavior or disruptive actions from visitors or inmates will result in immediate termination of the visit and possible removal from the visitation list.
   • Visitors causing damage to the visitation room will face criminal charges and be prohibited from future visits.

2. Dress Code:

   • Clothing must adhere to facility guidelines, and the receptionist's decision on attire is final. Prohibited attire includes:
     • Sheer or see-through clothing.
     • Shorts, skirts, or dresses more than three inches above the knee.
     • Tops revealing bare shoulders or midriffs, such as halter tops, tube tops, and crop tops.
     • Tights or leggings unless worn under appropriate clothing.
     • Hats, caps, or scarves (except for religious or medical reasons).
     • Heavy winter coats.
   • Proper undergarments must be worn at all times.

3. Children:

   • Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
   • A birth certificate with a raised seal or legal documentation is required for children under 18.
   • No more than two children per visitor are allowed in the visitation room at one time. Additional children must wait in the lobby under adult supervision.

4. Prohibited Items:

   • No personal items, including writing instruments, paper, cell phones, games, or bags, are allowed in the visitation area.
   • All personal property must be secured in lockers or vehicles.
   • Medically necessary items, such as wheelchairs or prescribed medication in original containers, are permitted.

Special Visits:
Special visits may be arranged for holidays or visitors traveling long distances. Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance and are limited to one special visit every 30 days, subject to approval by the administrator or shift supervisor.

Visiting Inmates at Sarpy County Correctional Center

All Visitors are subject to search once inside the facility.

The public may visit no more than one time per week, Monday through Saturday at this Papillion NE location. Visitors must sign inat least 15 minutes before their scheduled visits. If you schedule a visit and don't show up or show up late, you will not be allowed to visit the rest of that week, including Saturday. If a visit on Saturday is scheduled, and the visitor does not show up or shows up late, they will not be allowed to visit until the following Saturday. Repeated late arrival or no-show violations may result in longer suspension of visiting privileges. Inmates are allowed no more than one (1) visit per day. Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian, unless they are visiting a parent. Unaccompanied minors (under age 18) visiting a parent must present a copy of their birth certificate. Children must remain with the parent at all times during the visit. All visitors must have acceptable identification. This includes a drivers license with picture identification, military ID, or other verifiable picture ID. Three (3) pieces of non-picture ID may substitute for picture ID.

No mail or messages for inmates will be accepted. Mail must go through the U.S. Mail. Visitors may only visit the inmate they have signed up to visit. Any visitor who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to visit. Inappropriate behavior, including the use of profanity, will not be permitted. No weapons will be permitted. All other items listed in the jail lobby are prohibited. There is a maximum of four (4) visitors per booth, including children, and the door must remain closed.

All visitors must wear appropriate clothing, including shoes and shirts. Restrictions on attire or appearance include: No miniskirts or similar attire; no low-cut or revealing necklines; no attire with obscene or offensive language; and no persons with a bare midriff will be permitted to visit. Visitors cannot bring items into the visiting area including weapons of any kind, purses, handbags, backpacks, diaper bags, food, drink, gum, baby bottles, pictures, books, toys, writing utensils, strollers or carriers, cell phones, cameras, or any other electronic devices.

Violation of the above restrictions may cause the visit to be cancelled or terminated, and visiting privileges may be suspended by the Sarpy Sheriffs Department. The on-duty supervisor may cancel visits without notice due to circumstances within the jail.
