when someone arrives at a federal prison how long does it take them to show up in their database?

It sometimes takes a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how the court case was handled. If there was a plea, then it takes a bit longer. If they went to court and tried the case, they are already in the system and updating the designation is quick and easy.
