Q: I really need help, my girlfriend was let out of jail 2 days ago. She has been attending school and doing all she is suppose to (mind you she is a minor). Now, her mom left to go to Washington and she still resides in the state of Florida with no legal guardian but her mom keeps contact with my girls JPO. Her mom has made her steal,sell drugs, and many other ridiculous things that have gotten her in trouble. So now shes trying to get emancipated but doesn't know how to go about it, she is pleading her case tomorrow in court, her JPO has constant contact with her mom and is trying to get her sent away to a 6-12 month program because all shes heard is her moms side of the story so its extremely one sided. On top of all these her mom has filed for my girlfriends SSI in the state of Washington and like i said my girlfriend lives her, thats a federal offensive . I have voicemails with her admitting to doing just that. i DO NOT want her getting sent away , what should we do ? please help
