Q: My son's father is an inmate at Pleasant Valley State Prison. He originally got sentenced to 2yrs but with half time his out date is December 3 2014. He's not a violent offender and I heard that non violent offenders can get the 1/3 time reduction off their sentence, but in this inmates case, the 1/3 time would give him an out date later than December 3 2014. Is that even possible? And is there a chance that they might recalculate his time and give him an earlier out date for good behavior?
